Going forward, Steve Bernhardt, Jim Gemler and Justin Roswell will take over the operation of Team One Baseball.  We are extremely encouraged by this move and look forward to hosting numerous successful showcases in 2007. 

“We are very excited about Steve Bernhardt, Jim Gemler and Justin Roswell taking over the management of Team One Baseball,” said Rob Naddelman, Baseball Factory President.  “We anticipate that their baseball experience will lead to continued success at Team One events.”

Steve Bernhardt currently serves as the Executive VP of Baseball Operation for Baseball Factory and will expand his role to cover the Team One showcases.  Bernhardt played his collegiate baseball at the University of Richmond and professionally in the Colorado Rockies organization.  He also serves as an associate scout with the Colorado Rockies.

Jim Gemler will assist in all on-field operations for Team One moving forward.  Gemler currently serves as the Director of On-Field Sessions for Baseball Factory.  He played his collegiate baseball at the University of Akron.  After graduating Gemler went on to coach at the University of Akron and most recently at Penn State – Behrend. 

Justin Roswell currently serves as the Director of Player Identification for Team One Baseball, a role he will maintain.  He will also help manage all off-field and administrative responsibilities at Team One events. 

Team One Baseball introduced the showcase concept to baseball in 1992 by gathering players to work out in front of large crowds of scouts and college recruiters. The concept quickly caught on in the baseball industry, as a handful of other companies sprang up to imitate the idea. 

Team One’s alumni have gone on to great achievements in baseball:

? 142 players reaching the major leagues, including Cy Young winner Roy Halladay, All-Star David Wright and five-time Gold Glove third baseman Eric Chavez
? Over 2,000 players selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft
? Over 400 players appearing in the College World Series
? Over 10,000 players going on to play in college
? Alumni collectively receiving over $500 million in college scholarships
? 5 players winning the Collegiate National Player of the Year award
