Roye Family Testimonial

Dear Mr. Sclafani and Mr. Naddelman:

This time of year often serves as a reminder of all for which we are thankful. With that in mind, we are writing to let you know how much our family appreciates the efforts and relationships we have developed with several current and former staff members of Baseball Factory and Team One.

Our son, Brett Roye, joined the Exclusive Program his junior year, and now will graduate in June. How fast the time has flown! Although Brett is not completely settled for college at this time, he is close to being a Spartan at the University of Tampa, thanks to the efforts of Guy Robertson, Mac Seibert, Kelly Kulina and Steve Nagler. All have demonstrated a combination of dedication and professionalism, and are simply the kind of people to whom it is easy to relate. We really have enjoyed getting to know them. While our direct communication with Kelly has been more limited than the others, his role in connecting Brett with Coach Urso has been key – and we always knew we could call Kelly, if needed.

Guy has been our main contact with the Exclusive Program, most recently. >From the start, Guy has stayed in communication with us, followed through with plans in an extremely timely manner, and instilled confidence in us. He also has been flexible. Our criteria for schools – our ?wish list’- differed from what might have been an easier fit for Guy. He respected our goals, and pursued them for us with diligence. One aspect of Guy’s personality has stood out for us, in particular – his ability to withstand a client’s frustration, and then turn it into newfound confidence and optimism. Because Guy is the person he is, we felt comfortable expressing some concerns directly, and in complete candor. Some people would have dodged phone calls and emails. Instead, Guy met our comments head-on, put some attractive options in place, and made sure the lines of communication stayed open between us. He is a valuable asset to Baseball Factory.

Mac was instrumental in getting Brett live exposure to coaches. In particular, he initiated and continued to follow through with Brett’s introduction to Coach Urso. Mac became Brett’s primary contact last summer. We always were struck at how someone with Mac’s impressive credentials also was so approachable and responsive. Brett had attended some Baseball Factory camps prior to last summer, but was never invited to a showcase prior to Mac’s involvement. We really appreciated the invitation. The videos are helpful, but cannot replace the benefit of being seen in person. Brett has since received calls from several coaches because of his attendance at the PUMA try-out in Brockton; and in fact, the one time Coach Urso saw Brett in person was because of Mac’s invitation to the Team One Tampa showcase.  Since Mac’s departure, we have had the good fortune of attending his camp in Pensacola and receiving his top-notch instruction. In our opinion, Mac’s parting was a significant loss for Baseball Factory. We hope there will be an ongoing relationship in some form – the program would certainly be stronger for it.

Finally, our mainstay, Steve Nagler. Steve was our initial contact with the Exclusive Program, and when there was staff turnover during Brett’s junior year, Steve was there for us. He stayed in communication, answered questions thoroughly, and gave insight and assurance. Having seen several of his presentations, we can tell you they are professional, personable, well-organized and very convincing. Despite the many calls Steve needs to make after events, he has had information ready exactly when he said he would. Steve instills confidence, and is one of the hardest workers we have ever seen. He is a real pleasure to work with.

Thank you for the relationships we have been able to form with Guy, Mac, Kelly and Steve. They all have worked so hard for us, and are true quality, both personally and professionally.

May you and yours have a wonderful holiday season!

Sincerely,
Maggie Stenman
