Omaha Training and Tournament Day 3 Recap

The final tune ups for the Baseball Factory teams took place before the Omaha Triple Crown Tournament kicks off tomorrow.  Today's player workouts focused on more position specific instruction, base running, offensive and defensive game situations, speed work, offensive drill work, overall body strength training, core strength training, and agility.  Our teams are anxious and excited to hit the fields tomorrow as the game competition unfolds.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Triple Crown Tournament in Omaha, the event is one of the biggest in amateur sports.  Over 400 teams are competing in different age groups from 9 to 18 year olds.  We will be competing in the 18 and under bracket which has 48 of the teams.  37 different states are represented within the 400 teams.  The 18 and under division consists of 12 pools of 4 teams each.  Each Baseball Factory team is in a different pool.  After the three pool play games, the teams will enter a championship round to eventually crown the tournament winner.  As stated on the Day 2 Blog, in 2006 one of the Baseball Factory teams finished as high as 5th overall.

Here is tomorrow's game schedule.  Check back each day for game results, highlights, and key performers for the Baseball Factory teams.
