Baseball Factory wishes Clint Hurdle the best of luck as the World Series begins

Clint Hurdle, manager of the Colorado Rockies and hitting advisor to Baseball Factory, has led his team to seven straight postseason wins on its way to the World Series. Hurdle has been in the Rockies organization since 1994, and in 2002 was promoted to manager. In his six seasons as manager, the team has a record of 444-509. Hurdle was also a star high school player and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals with the ninth pick in the first round in the 1975 amateur draft. He had a short career in which he hit .259 with 32 home runs and 193 RBIs.


Hurdle joined Baseball Factory as a hitting advisor in 2002. He has appeared at the Dodgertown Christmas Camp and Tournament and at the Pre Season All America Tournament. At the events, Hurdle has given keynote presentations to players and provided hitting instruction and advice. He has shared his experience with Baseball Factory players in an effort to imporve their success at the plate.
 
During the 2007 season, the Rockies finished with a 90-73 record. They won the National League wild card after a one game playoff with the San Diego Padres. In the first round of the playoffs, the Rockies swept the Philadelphia Phillies in three games. In the National League Championship Series, the Rockies swept the Arizona Diamondbacks in four games. Left fielder Matt Holliday won the NLCS MVP after hitting .333 with two homeruns and four RBI’s during the series.


Colorado is set to face the Boston Red Sox in the World Series starting Wednesday night. Everyone at Baseball Factory wishes Clint Hurdle and the Rockies good luck.
