Baseball Factory Players Earn National Recognition, Make Early Impact

Many high school players approach a new season looking to improve their skills and top their performances from the previous year. Through the early part of 2013’s campaign, we’ve already seen multiple Baseball Factory players do just that. These players have been acknowledged on a national scale by receiving selections to Pre-Season All-American Teams, including USA Today and Baseball America.  As the high school season gets underway we’d like to congratulate these players on earning the Pre-Season All-American honor!

Just last month USA Today released their 2013 Pre-Season All-USA Team and 12 of the 15 selected players came through the Baseball Factory Program.  In addition, 19 (of 45 selected) Baseball Factory players were named to the Baseball America Pre-Season All-America team.  Each of these players has worked extremely hard to climb to the top of his game.  We’ve highlighted a few performances below and we’re excited to see what each of these talented young players has in store for us over the next few months.

2012 Under Armour All-Americans Clint Frazier (Loganville, Ga.) and Austin Meadows (Grayson in Loganville, Ga.), not only earned USA Today honors but were also unanimously selected to the Baseball America Pre-Season All-America Team.  Both top prospects are off to great starts this season.  FellowUnder Armour All-AmericansTrey Ball (New Castle, Ind.), Dominic Smith (Junipero Serra in Gardena, Ca.), andOscar Mercado (Gaither in Tampa, Fl.) were also two-time Pre-Season All-American honorees, selected to both USA Today and the Baseball America Teams. Trey, a strong two-way player in the outfield and on the mound, will look to build on his outstanding effort last season.  Dominic is a standout first-baseman, as well as a dominant pitcher who will look to continue his strong 2012 campaign.  Oscar, best known for his impeccable fielding ability, will look to continue to build on his all-around successful season in 2012.  Rounding out Baseball America’s Pre-Season All-America Team was fellow Under Armour All-America Game Alumnus J.P. Crawford, who hit .459 and stole 22 bases last year and will look to bring even more offensive pop this season.
