Baseball Factory and Team One join forces!
Baseball Factory, the leader in player development and college placement, and Team One, the number one company for top-flight showcases, have formed a partnership which will revolutionize the college recruiting industry and create a company that is unmatched in size and diversity of baseball operations.
Each company will maintain its existing identity while optimizing benefits for student-athletes, college baseball coaches and professional scouts. This new partnership was the result of extensive talks between Baseball Factory CEO/Founder Steve Sclafani, President Rob Naddelman and Team One President Jeff Spelman.
“From showcases to one-on-one training to specialized college recruiting, high school players will have all they need to improve their skills and be seen by college coaches,” said Naddelman.
“The two companies that are joining forces are both at the top of their niche,” said Sclafani. “Baseball Factory and Team One will be able to come together and strategically work with college coaches to bring them top players.”
Baseball Factory is designed to provide high school players with the guidance they need to successfully conquer the college recruiting process and find the perfect college match athletically and academically. Thousands have been placed into college programs and over $65 million in scholarships have been awarded to Factory players. These services will now be available to Team One players.
“Baseball Factory will have the opportunity to offer Team One players our expertise and knowledge of college recruiting and player development,” said Naddelman. “Our staff of 35 full time professionals will guide and advise these players through the challenging recruiting process.”
With a 12-year track record of attracting the nation’s most elite baseball players, Team One will continue to offer its’ highly-regarded National Showcase plus other Regional Showcases across the country. As always, only the highest tier of players will be eligible to participate in the Team One showcases which are attended by more than 400 college coaches and scouts each year.
Since its establishment in 1992, over 100 Team One players have been selected in the first round of the Major League Draft and over 65 have gone on to play in the majors including 2003 American League Cy Young winner Roy Halladay (Blue Jays), three-time Gold Glove winner Eric Chavez (A’s), All-Stars Mark Prior (Cubs), A.J. Pierzynski (Giants), C.C. Sabathia (Indians) and Hank Blalock (Rangers).
“By partnering with Baseball Factory, Team One will give players and their families a higher level of service and more tools to help the players prepare for college and professional baseball,” said Spelman. “No other company has as much baseball scouting and player development talent as the new combination of Baseball Factory and Team One. We’re set up much like a Major League front office.”
