Baseball Factory and Team One Baseball announce the inaugural Baltimore/Washington Invitational World Series
Baseball Factory, together with their affiliate Team One, are selecting players to compete in the inaugural Baltimore/Washington Invitational World Series, June 16 – 18, 2006.
The BWI World Series will bring top players from the Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia areas together to represent their region as well as themselves in a showcase and tournament, taking place over three days at Baseball Factory Field, home of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Retrievers. Players will compete in three tournament games and will also perform in a showcase in front of professional scouts and college coaches.
Similar to the newly formed rivalry between the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals, this event will develop some healthy competition between high school players in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. regions. The BWI World Series is a chance for players to be discovered by some of today’s top scouts and college coaches from this area.
