Baseball Factory Alumni Represent the U.S., Internationally in the 2013 World Baseball Classic
We would like to wish all the Baseball Factory Alumni competing in the World Baseball Classic the best of luck as they represent their country and fight for this year’s title. Among the stars on the United States roster are five Factory Alumni including former NL MVP Ryan Braun, Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton, Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer, Mets David Wright and Rangers starter Derek Holland. As a young high school prospect Holland was very actively involved in Baseball Factory, participating in the Arizona Fall Classic, Premium Video Program and the Baseball Factory Exclusive College Recruiting Program. His WBC teammate Eric Hosmer also took advantage of the Premium Video Program as a high school standout before being drafted in the first round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft.
Other Factory Alumni include Australia’s Clayton Tanner (Team One West) and Mike Walker (Premium Video Program); Canada’s Phillippe Aumont (Cape Cod High School Classic), Jameson Taillon (Under Armour All-American) and Brett Lawrie (Cape Cod High School Classic); Italy’s Anthony Rizzo (Cape Cod High School Classic) and Mike Costanzo; Netherlands’ Mark Pawelek (Team One West); Mexico’s Efren Navarro (Premium Video Program); Puerto Rico's J.O. Berrios (Under Armour All-America Game) and Spain’s Adrian Nieto (Cape Cod High School Classic).
