2010 Under Armour All-American Game participant Ronald Guzman (OF) had himself quite the Fourth of July weekend. Guzman, Baseball America’s #2 ranked Dominican prospect, reached an agreement with the Texas Rangers that included a signing bonus believed to be around $3.5 million. Guzman is from La Vega, Dominican Republic and went to Santo Tomas de Aquino High School. Last year, he helped lead his Santo Domingo team to the 2010 Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) championship in Jupiter, FL. It was the first time that a Dominican team had won an RBI championship.

Although Guzman is just a mere 16 years of age, he lets his play speak for itself. He has an easy, effortless swing to all fields from the left side and is projected to develop more power as he matures. Standing in at 6’4” and 195 lbs, he already has the physical make up of an elite prospect. He put his talents on display last summer at the Under Armour All-American Game, powered by the Baseball Factory, which took place at Wrigley Field. Guzman was the starting left fielder for Team National in an outfield that also featured first round picks Bubba Starling (#5) and Dwight Smith Jr. The Baseball Factory would like to congratulate Ronald on his signing and wish him the best of luck at the next level.
