Aumont is Key Player in Extra-Inning Win Over Mexico
The Baseball Factory would like to congratulate Phillippe Aumont for his outstanding play in Canada's win against Mexico at the World Junior AAA Championships in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. Aumont has proven himself to be a powerhouse player for the 2006 Canadian National Juniors Team. He made quite a name for himself at the 2006 Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic, powered by Team One and Baseball Factory, and has continued to do big things in the baseball community.

Aumont Brilliant for Canada in Marathon Win Over Mexico

Aumont was called on to throw in relief with the score tied at 6-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning. The 6’7” right-hander struck out seven and allowed only one hit over the next five innings in addition to crushing a two-run homerun to highlight a four-run 13th inning that gave Canada their first win of the tournament.
Mexico scored all six of their runs in the second inning. Only two were earned as four Canadian errors allowed
