HIGH SCHOOL UPDATE

Former Under Armour All-American Brady Aiken created quite a stir while pitching in his first game action of the season – a scrimmage against Rancho Bernardo. The LHP touched 96 mph with his fastball.
Fellow Under Armour All-American Milton Ramos continues to swing the bat well this spring. The acrobatic SS is hitting .500 so far with 2 triples, 2 home runs, 10 runs driven in and 5 stolen bases.

The theme of the high school season to this point has been velocity, and RHP Tyler Kolek (2013 Under Armour All-America Game) has been leading the charge. Reports from his last start had Tyler’s first pitch clocked at 100mph and his second at 102mph. The radar gun read triple digits a dozen times in the game.

Other big velocity reports during the week came from Michael Kopech (2013 Under Armour All-America Game) in Texas (98 mph) and JB Bukauskas (2013 Team One South) in Virginia (97 in his first scrimmage of the season).
