Baseball Factory Alum Earns Win in Division III Championship Series
Kevin Osaki is the latest Baseball Factory alumnus to make his mark on college baseball. Although his team ultimately lost in the Division III College World Series finals, Osaki led his Chapman Panthers team to a victory against juggernaut Marietta College in the first game of the series. Osaki, a sophomore right-handed relief pitcher, faced a Marietta team that was riding a 22 game winning streak coming into the game. Osaki pitched for the final 4 1/3 innings of the first game and did not allow a run. In the process, he struck out six and only allowed one hit against a powerful Marietta lineup in route to the win.
Kevin began work with the Baseball Factory starting in 2006 with the Factory’s Exclusive Program. He went on to compete in the Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament in 2008. His final event with the Baseball Factory was the Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament in 2009 that solidified his status as a pitcher who definitely had the ability to play at the next level. It looks like Kevin is living up to his potential and will be looking for another trip back to the postseason in his upcoming years.
