Baseball Factory player Brandon Nimmo’s Journey From Obscurity
Sweet-swinging lefties come in all shapes and sizes, and as Brandon Nimmo is proving, they come from all areas of the country as well. Nimmo is an outfield prospect of out Cheyenne, Wyoming whose state does not have high school baseball. While other players in warmer parts of the country are able to practice outdoors year round, Brandon was determined not to fall behind while waiting for the Wyoming snow to melt. With the help of his American Legion coach, he was able to secure a invitation to the Tournament of Stars in 2010. There, he opened both professional and collegiate scouting eyes. Brandon went on to participate and earn MVP honors at the 2010 Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory at Wrigley Field. He currently sits at #7 on Baseball Factory’s Top 100 High School Prospects. He will likely be getting a call early in this year’s Major League Draft, which looks to be filled with many Factory alumni like Brandon. His full story can be read at:
