FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Additional Athletes Selected to Under Armour All-America Game, Powered by Baseball Factory

Columbia, MD (May 9, 2011) Under Armour® and Baseball Factory would like to congratulate Anthony Alford of Petal, MS and Christian Dicks of Jacksonville, FL, on their selection to the 2011 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game, powered by Baseball Factory. Held at historic Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL, the game features the most talented high school players from across the country. This year’s game will be held on Saturday, August 13 and will be broadcast live on the MLB Network beginning at 1:05 PM CST.

The Under Armour All-America Baseball Game, powered by Baseball Factory, showcases thirty-six of the nation’s best rising seniors and juniors. Players from across the country are selected to participate in the game by Baseball Factory’s team of scouts. Over the past two years, 61 of the 72 players from the Under Armour All-America Game were selected in the MLB Amateur Draft including 12 first round picks. The event gives players the distinct opportunity to perform in front of Major League scouts and college coaches while experiencing the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. The atmosphere, combined with great young talent, has proven to be a huge draw to recruiters with over 100 professional scouts and college coaches in attendance in 2010.

Anthony Alford is currently a junior outfielder at Petal High School. The 6’2”, 210 lb Mississippi native is a two sport star at the highest level. On the baseball field Anthony has the rare combination of speed and power. As a football player, he is one of the top quarterbacks in the country, being recruited by many SEC and Pac-10 schools.

Christian Dicks is currently a junior at Providence Christian Academy. The 6’0”, 200 lb Florida native is a tremendous athlete who is a true centerfielder thanks to plus speed and outstanding instincts. Even though he is currently under the radar, Christian’s solid tools will make him a household name among scouts in the near future. A two sport athlete, Christian also shines on the football field as a running back for his high school team.
