Under Armour Christmas Classic – Day 3 Recap
Under Armour Christmas Classic – Day 3 Recap
As the Championship round started the four Baseball Factory teams stared up at an uphill battle. However, there was quick in these kids. Although all the outcomes did not go the way the teams wanted the play today was the best of the tournament. The Royal team held a lead until the fourth inning before falling to the West Texas Cats. The White team went toe to toe with a very strong Baltimore Orioles Elite team before having tough inning which proved to be insurmountable. The Navy team fought well until the end but the All-Star Dugouts squad scored early and held their lead.
The one bright spot for the Baseball Factory teams was the Red team. 0-3 thus far in the tournament and pitted against the number one seeded
As the other three teams hit the practice fields to prep for their final games on Sunday the Red team took on the West Texas Cats. From the first inning it was clear to see that this was going to be a very intense game with a very high level of baseball being played. The Red team took a 3-0 lead in the third inning and had a 3-2 lead going into the 7th inning. As they came up in the top half of the inning they were looking for a few insurance runs. They not only got one but they got three taking a 6-2 lead into the bottom of the 7th. However, the Cats weren’t done fighting. The Cats got two runs back with a two run double. A single up the middle knocked the other two runners in. With a walk and passed ball the Cats had runners on second and third. Another passed ball became the demise of the Red team allowing the winning run to score from third. The Red team will play tomorrow in the third place game.
We have one more day of games and hope to pull out a few more big wins to close out the tournament.
