Dodgertown Christmas Camp and Tournament – December 28th Recap
The Dodgertown Christmas Camp and Tournament began this past Thursday with 200 players representing 35 different states. Players took to the field at 3pm on the 27th; a day that focused on hitting, baserunning, fly ball communication, infield/outfield, and strength & conditioning.
As drills continued into Friday, game play also began. The first games started at 8am and continued until 10pm. Although player had only been aquainted for less than 24 hours, their camaraderie and intensity was ever present. Below are the final scores for the day:

Standout Offensive Performance: Brandon Heasley (Missouri City, TX) hit 2 home runs at Holman Stadium in the 11-10 loss to the Beavers. [Jackson Freeman (Richmond, VA) made it a back-to-back effort, as he hit a home run after Brandon's first]
Standout Defensive Performance: LHP Luis Pollorena (Laredo, TX) threw 79-82mph with 6 strikeouts and a pick-off at first.
All players and coaches are looking forward to another full day of baseball. Another 11 games will be played and more drills will be run. We hope the players get some well deserved rest as they have another 7am-11pm day ahead of them.
