Former Baseball Factory player, Jamie Hayes, is  ranked 15th in NCAA Division I baseball with 10 saves. Jamie is a sophomore at Rider University, and has 14 career saves; 10 of those coming this year. Jamie started with Baseball Factory in 2003 when he participated in a BATS event. Jamie went on to participate in a Team One Showcase as well as the 2005 Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Baseball Factory and Team One would like to congratulate Jamie on his accomplishments.

LAWRENCEVILLE-Rider University baseball player Jamie Hayes and Rider softball player Tiffany Day-Neutill are currently ranked among the national leaders in Division I of the NCAA.
Hayes, a sophomore shortstop/pitcher from Sunrise, Florida (Piper), is currently ranked 15th in the nation in saves with 10.
Day-Neutill, a junior outfielder from Agoura Hills, California (Oaks Christian), is currently ranked 27th in the nation in batting with a .419 batting average.
Day-Neutill currently leads the entire Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in batting average and is second in hits despite beginning the season with just two hits in her first 16 at bats.
Hayes has compiled 10 saves in just 15 appearances, tying the Rider single-season record set in 1977, and owns a team-best 2.65 earned run average. When not pitching, Hayes is the Rider starting shortstop with a .303 batting average, compiling 40 hits in 36 games.  Hayes now has 14 career saves, breaking the Rider record of 13, also set in 1977.
As a team, the Rider baseball team is 26th in the nation in double plays with 34.
Both the Rider baseball and softball teams compete at cross-town rival Princeton University this week, softball on Tuesday and baseball on Wednesday.
