MLB.com to stream a high school baseball game for first time ever as the broadcast partner for the 2nd annual Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic

NEW YORK — For the first time ever, MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, will provide a free, live video webcast of a high school baseball game. The second annual Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic, powered by Baseball Factory and Team One, will take place in Wareham, MA on Friday, July 28 at noon EDT, and will be streamed live on MLB.com and MiLB.com (MinorLeagueBaseball.com) and will also be available on BaseballFactory.com, TeamOneBaseball.com and BaseballExpress.com.
The second annual Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic will showcase 36 of the most talented high school seniors from across the nation. The Cape Cod Baseball League will serve as official host for the game, providing a historic setting for this event. The High School Classic will precede the Cape Cod League’s annual All-Star Game which will take place on July 29 in South Yarmouth, MA.

Any interest in a great head start? Then find a way to get to Wareham for the second annual Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic, on Friday at noon ET.
If that kind of last-minute travel isn’t realistic, then just come to MLB.com. The offical Web site of Major League Baseball will provide a free, live video stream of the high school all-star game, powered by the Baseball Factory and Team One. So instead of running to New England, simply head to MLB.com or MiLB.com at noon on Friday to see some of the most talented high school players in the draft class of 2007.

Vitters, Terdoslavich earn high school game’s MVP awards

WAREHAM, Mass. — They may have had to sit through some sloppy play from both teams, but the scouts, scouting directors, college coaches and agents who came to the second annual Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic, powered by Baseball Factory and Team One, on Friday afternoon got exactly what they were looking for.
The 33 high school juniors and seniors in attendance showed enough velocity and movement from the mound, enough bat speed from the batter’s box and enough foot speed on the bases to make the trip worthwhile for all who came to watch the Team One squad defeat the Baseball Factory, 6-3.
