1977 National League MVP and two-time World Series Champion, George Foster, joins Baseball Factory team!
In recent months, a couple changes have been made within the organization that will enable the Baseball Factory to better serve its members. George Foster has been added to the team to offer Major League experience and baseball expertise as a member of the coaching staff. Baseball Factory welcomes Foster, a respected player in the Major Leagues for 18 years. Undoubtedly, Foster possesses tremendous knowledge that will be beneficial to the program and its members.
Foster made his major league debut at age 21 and played for the Reds, Mets, Giants and White Sox. Throughout his career he earned many honors, including MVP in 1977. During that season, Foster posted the following impressive statistics: .320 Avg, 52 HR, 149 RBI, 31 2B, 197 Hits and a .631 Slug Pct. Foster was also a Five-Time National League All-Star, won two World Series Championships as a member of Cincinnati’s “Big Red Machine,” won back-to-back NL HR titles and claimed three consecutive RBI titles.
Foster will be lending his extensive knowledge to members of the Baseball Factory as an active member of the coaching staff. Foster will be one of the featured coaches at Baseball Factory’s Arizona Fall Classic, Christmas Camp and Tournament, and Preseason All-American Showcase.
