345+ Baseball Factory Alumni Taken in 2011 MLB First Year Player Draft
After the 50 rounds of the 2011 Major League Amateur Draft ended, over 345 Baseball Factory alumni were chosen to continue their careers with major league clubs. In total, 349 Factory players heard their names called during this year’s draft. From the annual Under Armour All-America Game to Team One Showcases to our Under Armour National Tryouts, Factory participants were clearly able to make strong impressions on major league scouts and organizations. At least one Baseball Factory player was drafted in each of the 50 rounds and each one of the 30 major league teams took at least one alumni. The Toronto Blue Jays took a whopping 24 Baseball Factory players and they were one of 17 organizations that drafted ten or more Baseball Factory players.
Dylan Bundy, Bubba Starling, Archie Bradley, Francisco Lindor, Javier Baez, George Springer, Taylor Jungmann, Brandon Nimmo and Jose Fernandez were the Baseball Factory’s top picks and each landed inside the top 15. Overall, there were 36 Factory alumni who were drafted in the first round and supplemental first round.
We are extremely proud of each of our players and the hard work that they have put into their careers. We wish them luck as they continue with their career aspirations.
