2018 OF Michael Brewer Makes Big Jump in Indianapolis
On Sunday, September 6 the Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout tour rolled through Central Indiana with a stop at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis.
The last time we visited the “Crossroads of America,” we saw two players touch 90 mph. Now, about six months later, we saw two more players touch 90 mph. Our most recent visit also saw three sub-seven 60 yard dashes and three players reach 89 mph bat exit velocity.

In February 2014 at the Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout & College PREP in Dayton, Ohio, 2018 OF Michael Brewer (Ft. Wayne, IN) ran 7.18 in the 60 yard dash and posted 81 mph raw velocity.
Just a little over eighteen months later, he ran 6.65 to notch an improvement of just over a half-second — vaulting himself into the Top 60 Yard Dashes (an updated ranking, including Brewer and other qualifiers from September events, will be published in early October).
As if that weren’t enough, he jumped his raw velocity by nine mph — up from 81 to 90 mph.

2018 2B Chance Cooper (Terre Haute, IN) posted 71 mph raw velocity when we first saw him in September 2013 at the Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout & Interactive Video Program in Indianapolis. Now, two years later, his mark of 85 mph marked an improvement of 14 mph.
One year ago at the Indianapolis Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout, 2017 SS Cooper Harrington notched 76 mph raw velocity and ran 7.58 in the 60 yard dash. His performance in 2015 marked improvements of 7 mph raw velocity (up from 76 to 83 mph), and just over two-tenths of a second (down from 7.58 to 7.37).
