2010 Pirate City World Series
August 4 – August 8, 2010 or August 11 – 15, 2010
This isn’t like your standard tournament. You will play baseball from morning till night!
Train for over 10 hours each day with professional scouts, former professional players and former college coaches.
Compete with players from across the nation in tournament games to take home the Pirate City Championship title!
Pirate City World Series Offers Players:
♦ One-on-One Instruction: Our coaches will work with you to make mechanical adjustments to your game. We aim to give you an advantage over the competition. Our coaches will take your strengths and weaknesses and develop a game plan for improvement.
♦ Position Specific Training: Work with the Baseball Factory coaching staff on all aspects of your game. You will receive instruction on hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, base running and speed and strength training with a focus on the areas that will have the greatest impact in your development. You will train from morning till night. This camp is all baseball, all the time.
♦ Tournament Competition: Play competitive games against athletes from across the nation as you battle to claim the title of Pirate City World Series Champions.
♦ Major League Facilities: Experience the life of a pro as you play on the same fields and eat and sleep in the same facilities as the Pittsburgh Pirates. Players will get to train in the same weight room, eat in the same cafeteria and change in the same locker room as the Pittsburgh Pirates!

The Pirate City Championship will take place at Pirate City, the Spring Training Home of the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Florida. Players will eat and sleep in the same facilities as the major league players. Experience life as a pro! |

Steve Bernhardt: Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations at Baseball Factory, former professional scout, played professionally in the Colorado Rockies organization, played his college baseball at the University of Richmond.
Andy Ferguson: Senior Director of Baseball Operations at Baseball Factory, former Associate Scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego Padres, played his college baseball at North Carolina State. |
| Important Event Info:

♦Players will meet Baseball Factory staff at the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport baggage claim
♦ All players will stay in the same facilities that the pros use
♦ Players are transported in charter buses/vans from site to site
♦ Players are fully supervised 24 hours a day
♦ Players will eat three sit down meals at the Pirate City cafeteria
♦ No spending money needed
♦ Players receive a detailed player info pack upon registration
♦ Baseball Factory scouts select players from across the country for this tournament based on their performance at a UA National Tryout, SCR Program or other Baseball Factory event. Selected players will be divided by position onto teams that will compete in the tournament. Baseball Factory will coach all teams in the tournament
♦ Parents welcome to attend this event, but it is not a requirement for participation.
